Meeting called to order at 7:38 PM

 

September 2, 2021, Minutes approved.

 

Treasures Report:

• Current membership 77
• Previous Balance $56,780.81
• Current Balance $54,933.78 plus $22,917.10 reserve for groomer fund.
• Expenses of $2,483.03 and Deposits of $636.00.

• Trails:
  • New Junctions and trail number signs need to be ordered based on inventory and map changes.
  • 104 Trail improvements – Bryan to get more information on permits and other requirements for the following:
    • RR track crossing west of Stone Road: In progress to get hill leveled and working with RR company to get pad moved for safer straight crossing of tracks.
    • Area between Countryman and Ridge Roads: Long process need to work with DOT and DEC.
    • Mudge Creek Bridge: Need engineering plans drawn up.
  • A motion was made by Bryan, seconded by Mike and unanimously approved to spend up to $1,000.00 for Deer Gate Sparkers to be used in orchards so deer fencing gates can be left open for snowmobile trail access.
  • New landowner on S49 where trail goes through an unfenced orchard. Need to stay in contact for options in case a deer fence is put up in the future.
  • NYSEG has done a lot of work in the area as the trail exits the Canal trail into the businesses area just west of the Rt 414 bridge. It should be all cleaned up before trails open.
• Groomers:
  • Need to swap the worst track on the Tucker with our spare. This will leave two emergency use spare tracks.
  • Still have lights to add to the Tucker, fix paint, and check the hoses on the drag.
  • The Ranger needs general maintenance and replacement of the undercarriage shield.
  • Groomer Committee located a 2002 Piston Bully PB100, 174 HP Class A groomer from South Warren Snowmobile Club.
  • A motion to purchase a 2002 Piston Bully from South Warren Snowmobile Club for $80,000.00, subject to inspection, was made by Dave, seconded by Bryan, and approved 5-0
    • No drag, will use drag from LMC
    • Pending inspection from groomer committee, and at the executive discretion of the Officers and BOD, the amount of cash and financed money will be determined in executive session to total 80 thousand dollars to purchase said groomer.
    • Our bank will then require the actual dollar amount to be financed along with a formal resolution to them authorizing club to borrow the financed amount.
    • A deposit of a nominal amount will be determined by the seller.
    • The executive meeting on October 21, 2021 approved the purchase of the PB100 groomer using $40,000 from the club account and financing $40,000 at a 4.25% rate term of 36 months from Lyons National Bank after receiving an acceptable inspection report from the groomer committee.
  • Discussion was presented to sell LMC less the drag to upgrade to the PB100 with sale price TBD but not presented as a voteable motion.
• Miscellaneous:
  • Water tanks need to be moved inside the barn.
  • Need two 96-gallon garbage totes. Steve will check on will call account with Dependable Disposal.
  • Tabled to next meeting – Bathroom needed for barn. Have to next summer when water should be available, we need a volunteer to investigate costs for a septic system.  Also need to investigate the costs of a port-a-potty to rent between now and May 2022.
  • Tabled for a future meeting to buy and install remote garage door openers.

• Revision 2 of the Bylaws have been approved and posted to the Club Officers page of the website Lakeshore Riders | Snowmobile Club | Officers. The posted PDF will change from draft to ratified by November meeting.
