The majority of the trails do not have enough snow, and open fields are wind-blown.  Adjoining clubs are also closed so you would have a marginal island with horrible conditions and nowhere to go. Here is a picture form 2 PM today just north of the 414/104 park and ride.

Some areas have the minimum to ride.  We are inspecting the trails and making sure that the gates are open.

Once we check we may be opening sections that are rideable.

The wind never shifted south enough and we still dont have enough to ride on.

The ground is barely covered and 90% of the trails do not have the minimum 3″ of snow to ride.  The southeast side of the county may have enough but trails have no base, and you will be on the dirt after 1 pass.  It is still snowing, and we will update later today.

Snow is falling, it is after January 1st, and now all we need is 3 or mire inches to open.  Check back in the morning.

Hunting Season has does not end until sundown on January 1st.  No matter how much snow is on the ground we cannot open the trails until then.  Trails are still being signed.  We have to work around land that is being hunted.
