There is enough snow on all trails. There still is no real base but it is forming. Need a bit more to begin grooming. Conditions are marginal to fair.

Trail are opened. There is no base. Conditions are marginal. Coverage gets better the farther north and east you go. You will run out of snow as you go south towards Lyons and west of 88. There is not enough snow to run the groomers.

We need to cut a trail 15 feet wide through a small section of woods at the Elks Club in Wolcott to Ridge Rd. This will be the final work needed to get us off the road and complete the S40 Reroute.
Please meet at the Elks Club on W Port Bay Rd in Wolcott on Sunday at 9AM. We expect to be done by Noon.

We have a new GPS on order and will be doing it soon. It really would be nice to do it on sled and not when we take the signs down!

All the trails and reroutes can only be put on an updated map after they have been GPS’d. We need volunteers that can do this for us. Do we have one? We have to GPS all our trails every 3 years for NYSSA and are due this year. Hopefully we can get them done so we can get the map redone and put in the new Kiosks. This is a ton of work…[Read more]

Heavy weekend traffic and warm temps have thinned the base. Need more snow to reopen them.

All reroutes are complete. There is still minor work being done on the new S40 between the Elks Club in Wolcott and 104/Stone Rd. Use caution where new culverts have been put in. There is no snow on them and it is fresh gravel.

We now have a overflow parking area for the 104 / 414 park and ride. Located at the south east corner of 104 and Fifth Rd 2/3 mile to the east. You can also Park at Chimney Buffs State Park.
