• Treasures Report:
  • Deferred to October’s meeting.
• Important Registration Notice:
  • Governor Cuomo is allowing ½ of the DMV fee to go into the trail fund this year.
  • Currently the DMV keeps $10 of every registration fee; $5 will be put in the trail fund for all new and renewed registrations between October 1, 2016 and December 1, 2016.
  • We ask if you register to please do so between those dates. This will greatly impact our first trail fund disbursement from the state.
• Trails:
  • We have more reroutes that are needed.
  • We will be opening the connection from Port Gibson to Marion but it will be 4 miles of road riding.
  • As an alternative we need signoffs from the towns of Arcadia and Lyons to pursue the use of the Canal Trail to connect Port Gibson to Jct WAYN206 at Trails S48 & S55.
  • S41 (RR Bed) will be reopened this year.
  • The State has smoothed out the highway spoils that were put on C4 at the Rt 89 bridge.
  • We have constructed an Deer fence gate in an orchard on S48. It is 7’x9’ with plastic cooler flaps.  It will be well marked with Barrier Ahead signs.  We will monitor it with a field wildlife camera to see how well it works.  Pictures and results will be posted.
  • We will need to cut a new section of trail through the woods on S49 (Brantling trail). We will start in about 2 to 3 weeks.  Please watch for work party postings.
• Groomers:
  • We have the transfer case from Tucker and will have it installed soon.
  • All groomers have had the maintenance complete and are ready to go.
  • The Bombardier is still up for sale.
• Groomer Barn:
  • Barn is constructed.
  • Concrete floor needs to be put in.
  • Will have better idea of barn completion after treasures report at October’s meeting
• 501(c)(3) status:
  • Still in process, budget is being reviewed.
• Miscellaneous:
  • Need to plan the locations of the meeting places for the 2016/17 season.
