Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM
September 5, 2024, minutes were accepted with no changes.
President/Vice President Report: Need to document and update list of all TRP paperwork to be signed over the summer by the April 2025 meeting.
We thank Assemblyman Brian Manktelow, NYS 130th District representative and a club member, for attending the meeting.
Treasures Report:
- Current Membership as of September meeting: 80.
- Previous Balance $14,534.53.
- Current Balance $26,800.07.
- Groomer Fund (Savings) $37,620.75.
- Expenses of $2,350.46 and Deposits of $14,616.00. Includes 30% from last year’s trail fund of $14,400
- Total Funds: $64,420.82.
- Final Groomer payment of $1185 to be paid in October
- A motion was made by Bryan and seconded by Dave to increase the monthly $750 put into the savings account for the “groomer fund”, to $1935 following the final payment of the PB groomer. The $1935 is the sum of the current $750 plus the groomer payment of $1185. The motion unanimously passed.
Secretary Report: A motion to amend by-law proposal #1 (see Below) was amended to change from adding to end of Article 4 Section 6 to making its own Section 7 under Article 4 with the title of “Conflict of Interest Form.” Both the By-law proposal #1 and the Amendment passed unanimously.
Bylaw proposal #2 (see below) Passed with over 2/3rd vote of 8 in favor and 2 against.
Trail Projects:
- Mudge Creek –Bryan has actively requested more quotes for the project. Details to follow.
- A motion was made Bryan and seconded by Jeremy to remove the motion from April to level and grade rough spots on C4 along 104 in August with a dozer not to exceed $3,000. The motion to remove the motion unanimously passed
- Numerous trees on the RR Bed need to be removed.
- A landowner requested gates to be installed on S40A at the C4 Junction WAYN34 and at the orchard entrance on to the east of 104A road crossing to keep wheeled vehicles out when trail is not in use. Jeremy made a motion, seconded by Rich to Purchase two (2) 16’ gates not to exceed $450 to be used on C4 and S40A at Junction WAYN 34 and on the east side of Rt104A road crossing on S40A. Motion passed unanimously.
- C4 in port Gibson has had numerous landowner changes in the past few months. We need to get with the new landowners to get proper permissions to maintain the trail without reroutes.
- Going to check to see if we can get the rental for the skid steer with brush hog early to start mowing in November.
Groomer Committee Report:
- Rich to report, at the November meeting, the status of a roller that may be available for our use.
- We will fill the off-road fuel tanks once it snows enough to start grooming.
Miscellaneous:
- Water has been run with donated labor to get it to the Barn. Need volunteers to install inside the barn to the new sink and toilet on 10/5.
- 501(c)(3) status: we are at the seven-month mark and the lawyer will check on the status. We hopefully will get a response late October or November.
- Need to get more people to help.
- Andy donated a bulk quantity of fasteners for us to use. Also, he asked if we could do a benefit ride in his son’s memory who passed this year. We will get details as the season progresses.
