Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM
October 3, 2024, minutes were accepted with no changes.
President/Vice President Report: Water in barn is done. Thanks to Bryan, Mike, Tim and Jarred for getting the water hooked up in the groomer barn. Thanks to Tim for donating all the hardware for the water.
Treasures Report:
- Current Membership as of November meeting: 95.
- Previous Balance $26,800.07.
- Current Balance $22,626.81.
- Groomer Fund (Savings) $38,372.36.
- Expenses of $4,402.96 and Deposits of $229.70.
- Total Funds: $60,999.17.
Secretary Report: A conflict was discovered from the September Bylaw proposal #2 to amend Article 7, Section 2 – Annual Year End Review Meeting. The proposal to change “The Annual Year End Review Meeting… to coincide with the normal April May meeting at the beginning of the fiscal calendar year.” conflicts with the Fiscal calendar year Article 6 Section 1 Defining Fiscal year. It also conflicts with Article 7 Section 5 Meeting Dates and Times. None of these were listed in the proposal to amend. The secretary placed a bylaw change on the table for next month’s discussion to strike the September By law amendment Proposal #2.
Trail Projects:
- Need to get the trail signs put up
- Mudge Creek –Drawings are at DOT and waiting for approval which can take 3 to 4 months.
- Numerous trees on the RR Bed need to be removed.
- Gates installed on S40A at the C4 Junction WAYN34 and at the orchard entrance on to the east of 104A road crossing to keep wheeled vehicles out when trail is not in use.
- C4 in port Gibson has had numerous landowner changes in the past few months. We need to get with the new landowners to get proper permissions to maintain the trail without reroutes.
- Going to check to see if we can get the rental for the skid steer with brush hog early to start mowing in November.
Groomer Committee Report:
- Roller that may be available for our use will not work, too small.
- GPS Units for Pilot program have been received and will be installed and tested in the groomers.
- Jared has a hose to fix leak on PB.
Miscellaneous:
- Open House at Yarrows on November 30th need volunteers to help. Posted to Facebook and emailed.
- 501(c)(3) status: Waiting on the government response.
- Need to get more people to help.
