    March 6, 2025, Meeting Minutes

    18 voting members were present.
    Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM by President.
    February 6, 2025, minutes were accepted with no changes.

    Treasures Report:

      • Current Membership as of January meeting: 301.
      • Previous Balance $50,153.24.
      • Current Balance $45,694.60.
    • Groomer Fund (Savings) $46,119.42.
    • Expenses of $6,450.64 and Deposits of $1,992.00.
    • Total Funds: $91,814.02.

    Trail Projects:

    • Mudge Creek –Continuing to move forward. Engineers all met. DEC needs a soil sample core in order to continue at an estimate of $2,500.
    • S42 north of Anchors Way Road crossing is plugged and needs to be cleared or repaired.
    • Podger Rd gates are being put up and trees being cleared. It should be completed in March.

    Groomer Committee Report:

    • Need to clean and repaint the metal repairs on the Tucker to prevent rust.
    • Motion was made by Sam and seconded by Jeremy to purchase a new track for the Tucker not to exceed $10,000. Motion passed unanimously.  Ted will check for end of season pricing and notify BoD of cost plus delivery for approval if under the motion price.
    • We purchased a 24v winch for PB100. Need to install it.
    • The committee has found a tractor. Rich described and had supporting documentation of the tractor.  A motion was made by Jeremy and seconded by Todd F, to purchase a tracked tractor with 8 feet wide drag and a front hydraulic mower, not to exceed $130,000.00.  After discussion an amendment to the motion was made by Mike and seconded by Dave to leave off the mower and the tractor and drag to not exceed $110,000.00.  The amendment passed 13 in favor and 5 against.
    • The amended motion to purchase a tracked tractor with 8 feet wide drag not to exceed $110,000.00 passed 12 for and 6 against.
      • Pending inspection from groomer committee, and at the executive discretion of the Officers and BOD, the amount of cash and financed money will be determined in executive session to total no more than $110 thousand dollars to purchase said tractor and drag.
      • Our bank will then require the actual dollar amount to be financed along with a formal resolution in executive minutes to authorize the club to borrow the financed amount
      • A deposit of a nominal amount will be determined by the seller.
    • The groomer committee was then tasked to find an appropriate mower and front blade for the tractor and to bring quotes back to the April meeting.
    • Jeremy M. to investigate fleet cards for the groomers.
    • Jeremy M. resigned from the groomer committee and was replaced by Tim C.
    • The tucker needs touchup paint to inhibit rust on the areas that were repaired a few years ago.

    Miscellaneous:

    • We are going to meet at 6PM on Thursday March 13th to prepare the Super Raffle ticket distribution to members. We may also call a special meeting to get the details for the amount we are going to finance for the new groomer.
    • The club would like to meet with NY State Police and others in October of next season.
    • Dale and Andy are building a volunteer database to pass on to trail captains for help maintain trails.
    • Pressure washer was purchased and is at the barn.
    • EOY check list for Phase III grant needs to be compiled.
    • Elections Results:

    The following positions nominees ran unopposed.  The Secretary cast 1 vote for each nominee, and they will serve a 1-year term for the 2025-26 season ending April 1, 2026

    Secretary                 John Renahan

    There were 6 of 7 Board of Director positions open.  The following were elected to a 1 year term:
    Tim Cornwell, Bryan Klekota, Ted Reppi, Mike Means, Rich Rice
    Dale Daunce was elected to a 2-year term.
    Jeremy McBride remains to complete his final year of a 2-year term.
