Meeting called to order at 7:35PM
February 4, 2021 Minutes approved.
Treasures Report:
- Current membership 372
- Previous Balance $23,468.77
- Current Balance $19,931.83 plus $18,006.27 reserve for groomer fund.
- Expenses of $5,953.35 and Deposits of $2,416.41
- Advance on 70% is in waiting for distribution and not yet received.
- Registrations increased statewide by 10,000 over last year.
- Thank you, Pier 53, for donating pizza and wings for the March meeting.
- Trails:
- Looking to cut the hill and add a larger pad to cross the Railroad tracks on C4 west of Stone Road. Need to work out the details with DOT and RR company.
- Need to get sign bulk order placed.
- Need to order new junction and trail number signs after the trail changes get made by the county and an inventory is taken of what exists.
- C4 at Port Gibson will cross the Canal at Port Gibson Road net year. Back to original location
- Looking to get DOT approval with engineering to span a bridge across Mudge Creek west of Stone Road.
- Need to add fencing to trail in Red Creek next year to keep snowmobiles away from houses.
- Discussed Fund Raising Activities:
- Super Raffle Tickets are for sale. We will be selling them at the Chicken BBQ on March 27th.
- Chicken Barbeque with advanced sale tickets need to be in by will be at end of March 20th.
- Utensils and containers are taken care of.
- Chickens will be ordered from Auburn Poultry. With about 120 extras in addition to presales
- Groomers:
- We were unable to order a track for the Tucker but found where we could get two refurbished tracks and then send in our two best tracks and get them refurbished.
- Groomer committee chaired by Todd Lupo and consisting of 4 additional members; Mike Means, Adam Phillips, David Vanderlinde, and Josh Vaneenwyk, will research a third groomer and drag.
- Elections:
- Current bylaws have changed the terms of the four Officer and seven Board of Directors (BoD) positions. Initial term is 2 years followed by 1-year terms thereafter if the person is actively involved and attends 80% of the club meetings. Currently all four positions are held by 1st term 2-year commitments so they will remain the same.
- President Jeremy McBride 2nd term
- Vice President David Vanderlinde 2nd term
- Treasurer Steve Durham 2nd term
- Secretary John Renahan 2nd term
- Due to the requirements of attending 80% of the meetings, a motion was made by David Vanderlinde, seconded by Traci McBride, and unanimously passed, to remove Glen Hopkins from the BoD. This opens one BoD position.
- Todd Furber and Andy Reinhardt were nominated for the open BoD position. Todd Furber graciously declined the nomination.
- With only one nominee for one position, the secretary cast one vote for approval of Andy Reinhardt to a 2-year term to the BoD
- Seven BoD positions:
- Tim Cornwell 2nd term
- Jared Hillegeer 2nd term
- Andy Reinhardt 1st term
- Todd Lupo 2nd term
- Mike Means 2nd term
- Ted Reppi 2nd term
- Rich Rice 2nd term
- Miscellaneous:
- Bylaws are going to be rewritten as Revision 2 to reflect the previous amendments and will be presented at the April meeting for approval.
- A proposal was brought up to investigate the possibility of connecting ATV/SxS trails that exit east of Wayne County to some of our trails.
