December 1, 2016 Minutes Approved.

• Treasures Report:
  • Current Membership 339
  • Current bank balance is $8797
  • Insurance and Taxes are due approx. $2000
  • Monthly electric bill is $23.87
  • Have had over $6000 in trail expenses and another $230 for more signs
  • Balance once outstanding expenses clear is $5100.
  • Anticipate check from the county of about $20000 in the next week or so.
• Trails:
  • The trail system is opened for the season until April 1^st.
  • As of this meeting there is inadequate snow cover.
  • We will be posting the trail conditons on the web site.
  • There has been another major trail reroute: JCT WAYN 205 on S48/S49. The junction has been moved south approximately 1 mile.  A new trail has been marked along S49 to Brantling.  Please follow the signs.  The old trail is barricaded and closed.
  • Please note that along S48 (Lyons/Clyde trail) a new section of trail was cleared through the woods on Lancaster property by the landowner. DO NOT CUT ACROSS THEIR OPEN FIELD CROPS ARE PLANTED.  STAY ON THE TRAIL BETWEEN THE SIGNS.  We don’t want to lose access to this section of trail!
  • We need some volunteers to take charge of the trails between Brantling and quarry Road. Please contact us if interested.  We will assit you in what is needed.
  • We need to finish construction of another deer flap gate in a fence by Marion.
  • The landowner that owns land from Port Gibson to Marion would like us to mark a trail (C4) that will take us off the roads and direct snowmobiles through their property. We lost this trail for the last two years.  Please stay between the signs and respect where the land owner put the trail.
  • Need to fix a deer fence that a snowmobile drove through as a result of not staying on the marked trail.
• Groomers:
  • Tucker is repaired and ready to groom.
  • BR-60 is still listed for sale. Had a few more inquiries.
  • Need to fix a minor lighting issue on the LMC.
  • Need to install new GPS tracking units in all three groomers
• Groomer Barn:
  • No new updates
• 501(c)(3) status:
  • Need a certificate amendment to our charter. Once signed and returned it will be ready for filing.  Within six to seven weeks of filing we will know what our approval status is.
• Additional Business:
  • We need to put together a 3 year plan by April
  • We will be ordering and mailing out 2017 Super Raffle Tickets as a fund raiser.
  • We will look to be having a club ride event. Check the web site for details when it gets planned.
  • Ted Reppi is heading up an advertising campaign along with creating more kiosks and generating maps for display along the trails. He is also creating signs for sponsors that will be placed along the trail system.
  • We will be moving the remaining meeting locations please check the web site for the next location. It will tentatively be at Brantling Ski Hill.
