January 7, 2016 Minutes Approved with the below correction

• Correction from January Minutes donation was from Midland Asphalt
• Treasures Report:
  • Current Balance $63000
  • Following were received :
    • $28000 minus trucking fees from the sale of the New Holland
  • $9,000 to be paid out for remaining debt on new drag
  • $1,800 to be paid for insurance. Drops to $1680 next year
  • $3,000 to be paid in expenses from trail work, and prior groomer maintenance
  • Need to maintain an $18,000 budget for the groomer payments.
• Trails:
  • Many trails have changed or been rerouted. We are still getting them GPS’d.  Please follow signs all changes are well marked.  Maps will hopefully be updated soon.
  • S40 reroute around Wolcott from the Elks Lodge to 104 at Stone Road is complete. Please pay attention to the signs
  • Riders need to follow the signs. We had a very upset landowner near the Elks Club of snowmobiles riding across their property.  The 2/7/16 reroute through the woods by the Elks is complete.  Again please follow the signs.
  • Still working on the gate on the east end of the trail at Chimney Bluffs State Park.
  • New trail from Savannah to Cottage Inn is being worked on for permissions
  • Please use caution by the deer fences. Many trails have changed, are well marked, but prudent speed and common sense must be exercised.  There has been a case of a snowmobile running into a fence and it will cost the club to repair it.
  • Trail insurance has dropped and coverage increased to $4 Million. This can be attributed to much better signing and less accidents.
• Groomers:
  • Need snow to run the groomers.
• 501(c)(3) status:
  • Have a new budget analysis since we are not seeking a groomer grant at this time.
  • Income Tax will be filed
• Miscellaneous:
  • Next meeting will be the election of Officers and Board of Directors
    • Nominations will be accepted at the next meeting. If you would like to run or nominate someone before the meeting please contact us at https://lakeshoreriders.org/contact-us
  • The following positions are up for election:
    • President
    • Vice President
    • Treasurer/Secretary
    • 4 Board of Directors (5) to keep a quorum if Treasurer/Secretary each get filled
  • March meeting be at the American Legion in Marion. Location and address will be posted and emailed prior to March 3^rd
