- 501(c)(3)status:
- More progress will be made in the next three weeks. A more detailed update will be at the January 7th meeting
- Trails:
- S41 trail (railroad bet from Wolcott to Red Creek) is closed for this season due to RG&E power line work.
- The section of C4 from East Palmyra to Port Gibson is still officially closed due to lack of landowner permission. We cannot mark it but you can ride the roads from Port Gibson up to the WAYN42 junction. We still could use some volunteers to help us reopen this trail. This is the only corridor that links WNY to the east. Please contact us by clicking on the Contact Us menu item if you are willing to help.
- Trail signing continues, if you are willing to help check the forum work parties for more information.
- A work party is forming at 414/104 park and ride on Sunday, 12/6/15 at 9:00am. Bring pole saws and brush trimming equipment. There are many sections that need trimming.
- We need to change the gate on the east end of the trail at Chimney Bluffs State Park. The current setup is not adequate to allow access for maintenance vehicles while keeping out ATVs. We need someone to help set up some permanent posts on with a lockable chain so that access can be controlled.
- Groomers:
- The groomer committee has been granted permission to purchase a groomer and drag that meets the needs of the club’s trail system
- Groomer committee reported that they have narrowed their search to 4 Tucker groomers in Minnesota. Their quotes will include shipping and freight costs.
- The yellow Bombardier will be put up for sale at $12,000
- The New Holland will be reposted for sale at $30,000
- Bell has the rebuilt transmission, it needs to be installed
- Bombardier needs some guides replaced
- New Holland has some broken cleats that need replacing
- Grant application for new groomer cannot be completed until we get 501(c)(3) status
- Kiosks:
- Signs are complete and need to be put in place at the trail junctions.
- Kiosk need to be built and installed. We could use some volunteers to help put them together once all the material is in.
- Miscellaneous:
- Snowmobile Safety courses are being offered. Please check the forum under events for more details.
- Request was made to move the meetings around during the season to allow for more people to attend.
- The 3 stolen culvert pipes have been released by the Police and we need to go to Scriba to pick them up
- Wayne County insurance amount has been settled and is in place
