- Treasures Report:
- Current Balance $46,743
- Check to TC Riders for the drag on the Tucker has cleared.
- Groomer barn excavation bill has been paid
- Property taxes to the county have been paid
- Trails:
- Trail signs from Lyons to North Rose need to be removed.
- Trails have been GPS’ed with the exception of a few of the Muck Land areas. We will have to get to them in the fall.
- All data will be submitted to the county for approval. They will then be sent to the State.
- Once we get the approval back (some time in November) we should be able to get new maps which will be available on the web site.
- Deer fence ideas will be needed to get around them. We are going to experiment with a plastic “curtain”. Also brought up was a cattle grate type entrance at the access gates. Any other ideas are welcome.
- If the crossroads are signed throughout the summer with no wheeled vehicles along Rt 104, local law enforcement will enforce it. This should help keep 4 wheeler damage to a minimum on C4 along 104.
- Groomers:
- The Bell and the LMC have been placed in storage in Marion.
- The tucker replacement of the transfer case is being covered in full by the seller. Failure of the transfer case was the result of no oil being put in the transfer case during the refurb.
- Minimal maintenance should be needed to start grooming next season.
- We will be coordinating schedules next year with groomer drivers and the Trail Coordinator to keep all the groomers grooming as much as possible.
- Vanderbilt Club has a 1986 and a 1987 Piston Bully groomers for sale. One is a parts machine. After discussing, it was determined that it would not be in our best interest to pursue these machines.
- Groomer Barn Committee Report:
- Started final excavation but was delayed because of the weather.
- All arrangements with the contractor and paperwork are in order and ready for construction.
- Construction should begin within two weeks and be complete in six weeks.
- Motion approved to move forward with RG&E to get electric service started. It will be terminated at a prior, predetermined pole location, on the site.
- Electric estimate is still $3,000 to run service to a pole not including pole cost.
- We are awaiting RG&E to do a study at the refundable cost of $600 to get Natural Gas run to the building.
- 501(c)(3) status:
- New budget has been submitted
- Still waiting response from last budget submittal.
- Miscellaneous:
- We will be posting the results of the proceeds received from the Super Raffle at the beginning of May. Check the Web site for updated information.
- We are in need of Landowner email address if available. This will help us to keep in contact with them regarding club correspondences. If you have any information please contact us.
- Our first meeting next season will tentatively be at the new groomer barn August 4th, 2016.
- We will come up with a location schedule for the remaining meetings for the 2016/17 season.
