SnowmanKeymasterSeptember 4, 2025, Meeting Minutes
14 voting members were present.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM by the President.
April 3, 2025, minutes and March 20, 2025, Executive meeting minutes were accepted with no changes.
Treasures Report:
- The current Membership 24.
- Previous Balance $25,187.20.
- Current Balance $5,406.59.
- Groomer Fund (Savings) $49,234.32.
- Expenses of $143,212.92. This includes the payment of the new groomer.
- Deposits of $123,432.31. This includes the proceeds from the $80,000 loan to purchase the new groomer.
- Total Funds: $54,640.91.
- Payment for the new groomer is $1,941 per month for 4 years.
- A motion was made by Jeremy and seconded by John to donate a $200 cash prize by Lakeshore Riders for the 2026 Super Raffle. The motion passed unanimously. Our club sold the second most tickets in the state last year and had 3 winners from our sales, one of which was one of the five grand prizes.
Trail Projects:
- All Phase I & II paperwork has been completed and turned in along with appropriate TRPs.
- Mudge Creek –Core drilling has been completed, and we are now waiting on DOT update.
- Possible trail from Bridge Pub in Palmyra to East Palmyra as a local connector trail is going to be investigated by the business owner with Andy, Bryan, and Dale.
- RG&E put up a gated barrier on the Red Creek Bridge on S41 passable by bicycle and foot traffic. It will be opened in the winter to allow snowmobile traffic as well.
- Investigating reroute of C4 along Shaker Tract Rd to make for safer travel along the bay shore.
Groomer Committee Report:
- Repainting the metal repairs on the Tucker to prevent rust has not been completed.
- Winch for PB100 needs longer battery cables to install it.
- New Holland tractor needs a hammer strap to connect the drag. A motion was made by Jeremy and seconded by Mike to purchase a hammer strap and associated hardware not to exceed $500. The motion passed unanimously.
- The groomer committee presented a front end Samasz Hydraulic extension arm / Circular saw which can trim and cut branches up to 6” in diameter. A motion was made by Bryan and seconded by Ted to authorize the groomer committee to allocate $18,000 for the purchase of a front-end mower for the New Holland Tractor pending the rental of a demo unit to test on our trails. The motion passes unanimously.
- Jeremy is looking at getting fleet cards for the groomers.
Miscellaneous:
- Jared is going to follow up for an October meeting with NY State Police and other Wayne County clubs next season.
- Dale is going to be assisting Bryan with his trail captain duties to have a backup trail captain.
- 501 (c)(3) complete. We are waiting on the state for tax exempt ID. Once we have them we will file for local tax-exempt status.
