Trail Projects:
- Pile of trees on S40 north of the Elks club in Wolcott has been moved and minor trail reroute signed.
- Mudge Creek- Bridge. (Tabled to Spring)
- The scope of the project and work with the DOT is being changed to a less expensive use of a retaining wall and extend the trail next to the guard rail to allow for the groomer to safely traverse that portion of C4.
- Countryman to Ridge Rd improvement has been tabled to the 3 year plan also pending 501(c)(3) as there are some volunteers that may donate time and equipment to accomplish this.
- Tree and stumps on S49 west of Rt88 have not been removed.
- A motion was made by John, seconded by Todd, to hire Empire Enterprises to grind the stumps on S49 west of Rt88 not to exceed $800.00. The motion was unanimously approved.
- The following trails need GPS data collected this year:
- S42C
- S42
- S55
- S43B
Groomer Committee Report:
- All groomers have been serviced.
- PB hydraulic leak in the sight glass seal has been fixed
- PB passenger seat has been fixed. Jared, Jason, and Ted are going to change the window.
- PB front blade has been repaired.
- Batteries are weak on the groomers. Jared is going to load test both and replace if needed.
- Tucker needs a a bogie wheel replaced. Jared to order and will replace with the track with Ted’s assistance.
- Orion GPS units need to be plugged tested. They should auto register so that they can be renamed by Orion.
Miscellaneous:
- Town water project got pushed back and water will not be available until the spring 2023. Restroom needs to be completed along with a sink. We could use a volunteer to install and plumb the toilet and sink. We have a port-a-potty secured for the winter. (Tabled to Spring)
- Could not get a fuel tank in excess of 300 gallons. We had our current distributer delivered and setup a new 300-gallon tank and pump in the area of Stones. Dave has a lock for the pump. We need to put a clipboard in the PB100 to keep track of when it is used for fuel. Or we can have the operators that fill the groomer email/text the secretary on the quantity used.
- 501(c)(3) status – Lawyer needs the financial statements. Steve will provide to get the process back on track.
- Dale is heading up a project to assist with the recovery of the fuel tax used offroad for club reimbursement.
- Bryan brought up a discussion of a 3rd This resulted in the formation of a groomer committee consisting of Todd, Jeremy, Gordy, Steve, Jared and Dave. They can investigate, inspect, and get costs of a groomer/drag. If they agree as a committee, they can then present back to club to move forward with full presentations and votes by the club if a purchase is recommended.
