January 5, 2017 Minutes Approved.

• Treasures Report:
  • Current Membership 372
  • Treasurer report was incomplete for this meeting
  • Received the estimated $20,000 state check
  • Received approximately $1000 in advertising
• Trails:
  • The trail system is opened for the season until April 1^st.
  • As of this meeting there is inadequate snow cover.
  • We will be posting the trail conditons on the web site.
  • Junction JCT WAYN 205 on S48/S49 reroute has been completed. The junction has been moved south approximately 1 mile.  A new trail has been marked along S49 to Brantling.  Please follow the signs.  The old trail is barricaded and closed.
  • Construction of another deer flap gate in a fence by Marion has been completed
  • We will be applying to the Shawangunk sponsorship of the deer flap gate.
  • Savannah to Red Creek trail landowner permission is almost complete.
  • The latest wind storms have knocked down several trees on the trails. We are cleaning them up.  If you see anything that cannot be easily moved, pleas contact us via the Web site or Facebook.
  • There was an old power pole on the trail by the east entrance to Chimney Bluffs State Park. We could not move it but it has been marked with hazard markers.
• Groomers:
  • The groomers are ready to run once we get enough snow.
  • We need operators to volunteer to join us to be scheduled to groom.
  • We will be putting together training sessions and schedules once we have enough snow.
• Groomer Barn:
  • We have added new signs on the groomer barn.
• 501(c)(3) status:
  • All paper work is filed we are approximately 4 weeks away from an update on our status.
• Additional Business:
  • We need to put together a 3 year plan by April
  • Next meeting we will be have elections for open officer positions. Please contact us if interested.
  • We have added advertising sponsors to our web page
  • We have sold advertising for the Kiosks set up at major junctions and are looking to create more.
  • We have sold trail signs for businesses along the trail.
  • We will be ordering and mailing out 2017 Super Raffle Tickets as a fund raiser.
  • We are looking for additional fund raising events.
  • Motion was passed to create a Fund Raising Committee. Ted Reppi will head the committee. They will meet and report next meeting
